Asthma inhalers have generally had the same design for quite a while, and all things considered they're moderately lightweight and little, and can be slipped into a pocket. Still, they're very prominent and nobody likes to use them out in the open for an off the cuff puff. Also, carrying it around is difficult in the event that it is held for the uncommon incidental asthma assault instead of day by day use. That is the place this new ultra-thin inhaler model comes in.

People suffering from asthma may soon have a sleek alternative to traditional and bulky inhalers.

The Bloom Inhaler fits in the palm of your hand, and is around the size and shape of a Mastercard. Asthma pharmaceutical is conveyed through a tiny nozzle that flips into spot on a roundabout opening in the top portion of the gadget; patients put their mouths over the gap to direct a measurements of drug, pretty much as they would when utilizing a conventional inhaler's mouthpiece.

Any standard inhaler can be utilized to fill Bloom as mentioned in the website. The gadget holds six doses, each of from the push of a trigger, and can be refilled a boundless number of times. The level, steel inhaler fits effectively inside a wallet, and its trim outline permits users to convey and utilize the gadget tactfully, not at all like bulkier models that can be unbalanced to carry.

The inhaler measures 54mm across and 85mm long, and is 4.3mm thick —
that’s the thickness of about 5 ordinary credit cards. A small meter is
located at the bottom, while the inhaler itself is constructed from
reinforced steel. The inhaler works with any HFA inhalers, and has been
tested extensively. According to the website, the company anticipates
getting FDA approval for the unit this upcoming November.

When it does launch (assuming it gets approval), the inhaler will
cost $40 USD. The website currently lists Bloom’s per-orders as “coming
soon,” though it doesn’t provide a time frame or date (presumably it
would start after approval is received).

"Camera That can Read a BOOK !!", isn't this sounds unreal ? No this is real. Yes its true now this new camera can read a book without opening it.

Sometimes we find some old books which are centuries ago delicate to read but we have to read them without damaging them.

So keeping this in mind some people from MIT University have invented a new camera that can read these books without even opening or touching them.

"I wanted to know how deeply you could read a closed book, because no one has ever tried that," researcher Barmark Heshmat said in a video published by the MIT Media Lab. A paper about the new camera was published in "Nature Communication" and notes that it uses terahertz radiation, which falls between the microwave and infrared spectrum's.

At the point when the radiation goes through the pages of a given book, it causes a pulse to bounce back towards the device at a specific frequency. Terahertz radiation responds differently when it goes up against various chemicals, so the camera utilizes a confounded calculation or algorithm to measure, interpret and make an interpretation of those frequencies to recognize the words.

The camera is so sensitive that it can also measure how long it
takes the radiation to reach the various gaps between pages, thereby
determining which content falls on which pages.

The research team included Barmak Heshmat, Ramesh Raskar, and Albert Redo Sanchez from MIT, and Justin Romberg and Alireza Aghasi from Georgia Tech. The camera's prototype can currently tell the difference between 20 pages and read the content on the first nine of those pages.

The researchers plan to refine the camera so that it can eventually read an entire book without ever flipping open the cover.

Today whatsapp introduced a desktop app so you have a new way to stay in touch anytime and anywhere - whether on your phone or computer at home or work. Like WhatsApp Web, our desktop app is simply an extension of your phone: the app mirrors conversations and messages from your mobile device.

The new desktop app is available for Windows 8+ and Mac OS 10.9+ and is synced with WhatsApp on your mobile device. Because the app runs natively on your desktop, you'll have support for native desktop notifications, better keyboard shortcuts, and more.

To download the app, visit https://www.whatsapp.com/download from your desktop browser. Then, open the app and scan the QR code using the WhatsApp app on your phone (look for WhatsApp Web menu under Settings).

Just like WhatsApp Web, the new desktop app lets you message with friends and family while your phone stays in your pocket.

The material, a silicone-based polymer that could be connected on the skin as a flimsy, impalpable covering, emulates the mechanical and flexible properties of solid, young skin. Here's why Hard Disks and Pen Drives Have Less Space Than The Promised Space.

Pen drives, hard disks go under the class of USB flash drive. It is an information stockpiling gadget with an incorporated USB interface which consists flash memory. At present, pen drives and external hard disks have been part just like smartphones. But have you ever checked that the pen drives storage capacity is different to that of the promised space by the manufacturer?

Yes, the storage room contrasts without a doubt. For instance, let us take a 8 GB pen drive and when it is connected to your PC you can see that only 7.46 GB space is accessible.

Then where is the rest of 0.54 GB ? Scratching your head and cursing the manufacturer? Well, let me try to explain you .

A simple of math involved in this. Generally, every one of us knows that computers work using number 2 as the base. According to this the memory management will be :

1 KiloByte (KB) = 1024 Bytes
1 Mega Byte (MB) = 1024 Kilo Bytes (KB)
1 Giga Byte (GB) = 1024 Mega Bytes (MB)
8 GB = 1024 * 8 = 8192 MB

But pen drive and hard disks manufacturers consider it as base 10. i.e

1 KiloByte (KB) = 1000 Bytes
1 Mega Byte (MB) = 1000 Kilo Bytes (KB)
1 Giga Byte (GB) = 1000 Mega Bytes (MB)
8 GB = 1000 * 8 = 8000 MB ( approximately equal to 7.81 GB)

and the rest of the memory (approximately 0.35GB ) is reserved for data sector and system files for better performance.

As the device memory capacity increases, we lose more amount of space. The table below shows some significant figures.

Well the truth is that, manufacturers are actually not cheating anyone in this whole thing. In
fact, they mention this on the box of hard disks and pen drives. Take a
close look at your hard disk boxes.

Microsoft Windows or simply Windows is an operating system which is developed, designed and sold by Microsoft. It is a graphical operating system. It dominates the world’s personal computer market with over 90% of market share overtaking its rival Mac OS. There have been different versions of Windows like Windows 98, XP, Vista, 7, 8 and most recent one is Windows 10. But one of the common options in all these is “Refresh” option which appears when you right-click the mouse.

Have you ever wondered – what really happens when you click on refresh?

Some non-techie people might think that it will improve your system performance or it will make your system run faster but this is absolutely wrong. When you hit the refresh button the memory of your system is reloaded with the up to date information. In simple words refresh will redraw everything present on the screen pixel by pixel and displays the latest data. Refresh option is not meant for speeding up the performance. Then the question arises when does refresh is useful?

Refresh is useful in the following cases:

When your data is not up to date.

When the desktop or other folders don’t display the files you created, moved, copied or deleted.

When the realigned icons or files on the desktop or other folders don’t show up.

When files created by 3rd party applications don’t show in the folder.

When the name of a file is changed but it doesn’t show the new name.

When you change any appearance settings. etc

In fact, by clicking the refresh button the system will take few extra microseconds to display the latest data and if you press it continuously the system will slow down a bit in order to read and write the cycles it has to perform inside the hard disk.

Share your views in the comments section below. :)

A restored drift vehicle won't fly through thick timberlands as easily as the "Star Wars" speeder bicycles from "Return of the Jedi," however its natural controls could some time or another permit anybody to fly it without pilot preparing.

The airborne vehicle takes after a sci-fi flying bicycle with two ducted rotors rather than wheels, yet begins from an outline deserted in the 1960s on account of dependability and rollover issues. Aerofex, a California-based firm, altered the strength issue by making a mechanical framework — controlled by two control bars at knee-level — that permits the vehicle to react to a human pilot's inclining developments and characteristic feeling of parity.

"Consider it bringing down the edge of flight, down to the area of ATV's (off-road vehicles)," said Mark De Roche, an aviation design specialist and author of Aerofex.

Such natural controls could permit doctors to fly future renditions of the vehicle to visit country patients in spots without streets, or empower outskirt watch officers to go about their obligations without pilot preparing. Every last bit of it happens mechanically without the requirement for gadgets, not to mention convoluted computerized reasoning or flight programming. [Video: Hover "Bicycle" Flies on Pilot's Intuition]

"It basically catches the interpretations between the two in three pivot (pitch, roll and yaw), and initiates the streamlined controls required to counter the development — which lines the vehicle move down with the pilot," De Roche told InnovationNewsDaily. "Since (the pilot's) adjusting developments are natural and steady, it plays out easily to him."

Be that as it may, Aerofex does not plan to quickly create and offer a kept an eye on adaptation. Rather, the aviation firm sees the airborne vehicle as a test stage for new unmanned automatons — substantial lift mechanical workhorses that could utilize the same float innovation to work in horticultural fields, or quickly convey supplies to look and-save groups in unpleasant terrain.

Indeed, even the officers or Special Forces may utilize such drift automatons to convey or convey overwhelming supplies in the tight spaces between structures in urban areas. U.S. Marines have as of now started testing automated helicopters to convey supplies in Afghanistan.

The drifting automatons would not fly as proficiently as helicopters in light of their shorter rotor sharp edges, however their encased rotors have the benefit of a much littler size and wellbeing close people.

"They are less proficient than a helicopter, which has the advantage of bigger measurement rotors," De Roche clarified. "They do have exceptional execution focal points, however, as they have exhibited flight inside of trees, near dividers and under scaffolds."

Aerofex has as of now restricted human flight testing to a tallness of 15 feet and velocities of around 30 mph, yet more out of alert as opposed to as a result of any mechanical breaking points. More seasoned forms of the drift vehicles could fly about as quick as helicopters, De Roche said.

Flight testing in California's Mojave Desert prompted the presentation of a specialized paper in regards to Aerofex's accomplishments at the Future Vertical Lift Conference in January. The organization arrangements to fly a second form of its vehicle in October.

However, the U.S. government's statement didn't stop anyone from continuing to speculate, and eventually, the object was officially name, "The Black Knight."

Several photographs were taken of the Black Knight by NASA, to analyze its metrics and appearance. According to NASA experts and astronomers' estimations, the object, based on its size, weighed at least 10 tons. As mentioned before, technology in the 1950s was nowhere close to being capable of launching something of such weight into space.

While the Black Knight hadn't appeared to emit any activity other than its strange and indecipherable signal, something unusual happened in 1963...
During a space exploration flight that year, astronaut Gordon Cooper reported seeing a glowing green object orbiting Earth. The official published explanation for what the astronaut saw was "high levels of carbon dioxide, which caused hallucinations."

Previous research suggested the best way to grow embryonic stem cells is not in flat lab dishes, but in 3D environments that mimic how these cells might develop in human bodies. Recently, scientists developed 3D printers for embryonic stem cells. A 3D printer works by depositing layers of material, just as ordinary printers lay down ink, except it can also lay down flat layers on top of one another to build 3D objects.

Until now, 3D printers for embryonic stem cells just generated flat arrays or simple mounds, called "stalagmites," of cells. Now, researchers say they have, for the first time, developed a way to print 3D structures laden with embryonic stem cells.

"We are able to apply a 3D-printing method to grow embryoid bodies in a controlled manner to produce highly uniform blocks of embryonic stem cells," study co-author Wei Sun, a professor of mechanical engineering at Tsinghua University in Beijing and Drexel University in Philadelphia, told Live Science.

In principle, these blocks could be used like Lego bricks to build tissues "and potentially even micro-organs," Sun added.

In experiments, the researchers simultaneously printed out mouse embryonic stem cells with a hydrogel, the same kind of material from which soft contact lenses are made. Because embryonic stem cells are relatively fragile, the scientists made sure to protect the cells as much as possible — for instance, by finding the most comfortable temperature for them and increasing the size of the nozzle used to print them out.

Ninety percent of the cells survived the printing process, according to the new study. The cells proliferated into embryoid bodies within the hydrogel scaffolds and generated the kind of proteins that would be expected from healthy embryonic stem cells, the researchers said. The scientists also noted that they could dissolve the hydrogel to harvest the embryoid bodies.

The size and uniformity of embryoid bodies can greatly influence what types of cells they become. The researchers said their new technique resulted in better control over embryoid body size and uniformity than previous methods could achieve.

"The grown embryoid body is uniform and homogenous, and serves as much better starting point for further tissue growth," Sun said in a statement. "It was really exciting to see that we could grow embryoid bodies in such a controlled manner."

"Our next step is to find out more about how we can vary the size of the embryoid body by changing the printing and structural parameters, and how varying the embryoid body size leads to 'manufacture' of different cell types," study co-lead author Rui Yao an assistant professor at Tsinghua University in Beijing, said in a statement.

In the long term, the researchers would like to print different kinds of embryoid bodies side by side. "This would promote different cell types developing next to each other, which would lead the way for growing micro-organs from scratch within the lab," Yao said in a statement.

A new method of delivering data, which uses the visible spectrum rather than radio waves, has been tested in a working office.

Professor Harald Haas from Edinburgh University invented a wireless
broadband technology in 2011 that uses LEDs to send data a hundred times
faster than today’s wi-fi networks. The system is also more energy
efficient than wi-fi and has 10,000 times the bandwidth. It is believed
that the Li-Fi wireless technology will compliment existing wi-fi
systems.

Wi-fi uses unlicensed 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz radio spectrum. Li-fi uses
visible light between 400 and 800 terahertz. As the number of wi-fi
devices proliferates, overcrowding could render wi-fi unusable. Li-fi
could help ease this congestion.
Transmitting data using light
isn’t anything new. Back in 1880, Alexander Graham Bell (the inventor of
the telephone) transmitted audio using visible light.

Li-Fi (Light Fidelity) promises connections up to 100 times faster
than Wi-Fi. According to researchers, the new alternative technology
transmits high-speed data using visible light communication, which would
reach speeds of 1 Gbps, which is about 100 times faster than a standard
WiFi.

Created in 2011, the transmission via Li-Fi is made using LED lights,
which flicker on and off so fast that it is completely imperceptible to
the human eye. Li-Fi could, ofr example, allow users to download an HD
movie in a few seconds.

At its simplest, a li-fi system consists of an LED transmitter and
solar panel receiver system. It might sound basic, but it works, and it
is fast. In the lab, li-fi has clocked in at speeds of up to 224
gigabits per second. Back in the real world, data speeds from a single
5Mw micro LED are around a still zippy 1-3 gigabit per second.

It’s
also secure. wi-fi signals can penetrate most walls to pass beyond the
boundary of your home or business and can be intercepted. Light doesn’t
penetrate walls so securing a li-fi network can be as simple as drawing
the blinds.

You’d be forgiven for thinking that staying online with li-fi would
need the lights left on. Haas’s li-fi system is so sensitive that he’s
demonstrated it working with LED bulbs dimmed to such low levels that
they appear turned off.

Commercial interest is mounting. Velmenni,
an Estonian company, has already developed a commercial version of the
technology. They’ve already trialled it in offices and industrial
environments in Estonia. The Velmenni version of li-fi has recorded
speeds of up to 1GBps.

Let us see a small Video on it :

Here are 10 of the weirdest gadgets on Indiegogo and Kickstarter that made our foreheads crinkle with wonder.

Wired In.

Telling someone to go away is hard. If you're in the zone listening to Britney Spears or a Hans Zimmer soundtrack while cranking out pivot tables, just turn on a "Wired In" sign and people should get the message.

This is the desktop equivalent of a taxi's For Hire light. It can be controlled using Bluetooth, and programmed to turn on automatically if you're using certain computer or phone applications, such as Outlook or Slack. The text on each sign can also be customized so you can be as mean or nice as you want to.

The Kickstarter project has already raised $20,000 of its $25,000 goal with 25 days still left to go.

Couchlet.

"What will they think of next!" comes to mind with Couchlet. It's a charging station designed to be wedged into couch cushions and the frame of your bed. The dual USB-port charger comes with a 6-foot cable. That struggle to reach the outlet? Problem solved.

The Indiegogo campaign has received more than $53,000 in 21 days, and is 177% funded.

Bug-A-Salt.

Why swat flies when you can shoot them. With salt. The Bug-A-Salt is a plastic gun that blasts pinches of sodium chloride at winged pests. It was an explosive success, raising $577,636 from over 10,000 people in two months in 2012. You should definitely watch the video ad for this.

BitBite.

Forget Weight Watchers. Put this thing in your ear and it will track what you're eating, how much, and how quickly you're chewing. Not only that, the accompanying app will log your diet data and notify you -- in your ear -- when you should stop eating and to put down that doughnut. "When you slow down, chew more and eat at regular intervals you'll be improving your nutrition, feel better and shed those extra pounds," BitBite's Indiegogo campaign claims. Well, if you ever wanted your mom in your ear constantly...

The project was 117% funded in January, raising more than $78,000.

Oto-Tip.

After you take out your BitBite, you might need to clean your ears. The makers of Oto-Tip want you to use their handheld rechargable cleaner. They say traditional Q-tips push ear wax farther into the ear canal, and can create the risk of popping the eardrum. The Oto-Tip's tiny wand, on the other hand, is equipped with a mini brush that spins and sweeps out ear wax. A rubber stopper prevents the brush from going too far into the ear. We haven't tried the device, but the idea of a moving object in our ear reminds us of a wet willy.

The project was 260% funded in 2014.

Mint.

And, after you clean your ears, how about checking your breath? When you blow into Mint, its accompanying app tells you if you need a mint, water, or a new toothbrush. It's the third oral hygiene product from Breathometer, a company that launched on Indiegogo in 2013. Mint was 326% funded, raising more than $87,000, in March.

Vi-Band.

"Do you have a head? You're gonna wanna see this..." is how the pitch for this headband head massager starts. It vibrates in "special" ways on pressure points of the forehead and temples. The Vi (pronounced like high) Band starts at $25, and the commercial for the product is worth a watch. A screenshot from it is below.

Vi-Band has a $20,000 fundraising goal that it has to meet in a month.

Wallet Drone.

What is this? A drone...for ANTS? (Ok, the Wallet Drone isn't that small, but we could see Zoolander making the joke.) Self-dubbed the "world's smallest quadcopter," the 1.5-inch by 1.5-inch flying machine comes with a kit, which doubles as a controller and charger, that fits into your pocket. It's already raised nearly $40,000 on Indiegogo and is completely funded. But at $35 a pop, we wish the Wallet Drone did more than just fly around.

Mask.

If you've ever looked at the cushion strap on your headphones and thought, hm, maybe I could put a screen here, the makers of Mask have you beat. The headphones also serve as a headsup display for playing games and watching movies -- and an oversized Geordi La Forge visor for your next Halloween costume.

Mask has raised about $31,000 on Indiegogo in a month, which is only half its goal.

Rufus Cuff.

This isn't a smartwatch. It's a "wrist communicator." That's what the inventors of the Rufus Cuff calls this brick-like bracelet in their video ad. Not only does it have a front-facing camera, it also works with Bluetooth and Wi-Fi devices, including smart locks, Nest thermostats, and smartphones. The 3-inch screen also allows users to type text messages and control apps to play music and perform other functions.

We could go on about what it looks like (a TI-89 with speakers, a barcode scanner, Buzz Lightyear's wrist controller) and the fact that it's probably the stuff of Jony Ive's nightmares...but the Rufus Cuff was funded in May 2014 with over $430,000 in pledges so clearly, there are many others who disagree.

Move over from cell web association… .Wi-Fi is the in thing nowadays. All over you go nowadays has a Wi-Fi office accessible. Wi-Fi (or WiFi) is a neighborhood PC organizing innovation that permits electronic gadgets to interface with the system. Yet, is the capability of this innovation tapped totally?

Yes, another framework brought Control Over Wi-Fi (PoWiFi) created by a group of architects at the College of Washington can control gadgets utilizing the inalienable vitality of Wi-Fi signals inside of a remote system.

Vamsi Talla, an electrical architect and lead creator of the study said "Surprisingly we've demonstrated that you can utilize Wi-Fi gadgets to control the sensors in cameras and different gadgets. We likewise made a framework that can exist together as a Wi-Fi switch and a force source — it doesn't corrupt the nature of your Wi-Fi signals while it's fueling gadgets."

Prior in the year, the framework was initially reported by the scientists. With the innovation anticipated that would hold eminent request for anyone who likes electronic contraptions (that is you) and uses Wi-Fi (additionally you), the scientists are required to present it in a last paper one month from now at the Relationship for Figuring Apparatus' CoNEXT 2015 meeting in Germany.

While there is no reason for sympathy toward the insignificant measures of current created by PoWiFi, the considered power streaming remotely through the air may sound quite disturbing. Then again, the needs of low-power sensors in little gadgets like wellness trackers and cameras can be in a perfect world met with PoWiFi.

The specialists while creating PoWiFi found that the greatest vitality contained in customary Wi-Fi signs is sufficient to charge or run these sorts of low-power devices. In any case, vitality spillage typically happens, because of the way the signs are sent just at sporadic interims .

The group could make the sign solid and sufficiently steady to convey control viably by making the best utilization of a switch to transmit extra power parcels on Wi-Fi channels that are not right now combining so as to be used and sensors into low-control gadgets so they can eat the signs.

The scientists appeared in testing that PoWiFi supplied enough charge to remotely run a low-control VGA camera from more than 5 meters. Likewise, the battery of a Jawbone Up24 wearable wellness tracker was energized from no charge to 41 percent in 2.5 hours.

The scientists likewise tried the impact of running PoWiFi on the switch's standard part notwithstanding measuring the framework's charging capacities, which is conveying Web access on a nearby system. When it was tried in six homes, no regular change of slower than normal execution was seen by the clients when they spilled content from the web or stacked website pages.

Shyam Gollakota, a co-creator of the study said "later on, PoWiFi could influence innovation force scaling to further enhance the proficiency of the framework to empower operation at bigger separations and force various more sensors and applications."

PoWiFi can't be contrasted and a standard wired force link, future refinements to the innovation because of the moderately little measures of force conveyed by PoWiFi. On the other hand, one can't overlook the sheer comfort of remotely charging all your little gadgets around you. On the off chance that PoWiFi gets a purchaser discharge, one could see one hell of an effort.

Follow the following Instructions!!

1) Initially SWITCH OFF YOUR PHONE

Since chances are that your phone was powered on when you dropped it in water, it is advisable to switch it off immediately after taking it out.

Switching the phone off will prevent any short circuits from damaging the internals of the phone..

2) Remove Everything

After switching off the phone, start removing everything possible from the phone. Remove the battery, sim cards, memory cards as well as any accessory (stylus, case, cover, skin).

You can easily wipe these off with a dry cloth so that no water remains on these items.

3) SHAKE IT

Gently shake the phone to get rid of any water present in the headphone jack, charging port or under the physical buttons.

After this, wipe the phone with a dry cloth, toilet paper or paper napkins thoroughly to remove any water present on the exterior.

4) Keep it in RICE

This is one of the most commonly used and known techniques. Get an airtight container or a ziplock bag and fill it with uncooked rice. Place your phone inside the rice, shut the ziplock bag/container tight and keep it in a dry place.

You can also try using oatmeal or silica gel packs.

5) WAIT FOR SOME TIME

Leave the phone in the rice for at least 24 to 48 hours. Ideally, do not even try to take the phone out to check if it has started working or not. If there wasn't too much water damage, your phone should start working.

IF IT STILL DOSENT WORK....

Please keep in mind that there is no guarantee that your phone will survive a dunking in water. There is only a 50% chance of your phone working again.

In case the phone does not work even after trying out the rice method, take it to an authorized service centre. They will be able to dismantle your phone and assess the damage better. Remember that water damage is not covered in the standard

Be prepared

There are a couple of ways of preventing your phone from getting damaged by water in the first place.

If you are travelling in the rainy season or going to a beach/swimming pool, then you can get a waterproof carry pouch. They are available for as little as Rs 150 from e-commerce websites. These pouches have a transparent window which allow you to see incoming notifications.

While standard warranty does not cover water damage, there are third party insurance services available now that offer such coverage.

There are various options available, we recommend you try out Ingram Micro Cover Plus or Syska Gadget Secure. They have plans starting at Rs 500. You can choose what all you need cover for, including liquid damage.
